摘要：

Un câble optique s'étendant d'un central téléphonique (CO) à une boîte de terminal de ligne optique (OLT) à interface avec une zone de service (SAI) peut présenter une pluralité de fibres optiques, chaque fibre présentant au moins une gaine conductrice destinée à propager un signal d'identification. Les fibres optiques qui émettent un signal avec des informations d'identification, ou d'autres informations utiles, peuvent être avantageuses lorsque, par exemple, le câble optique contient des fibres détenues par plus d'un fournisseur de contenus ou de services. Un autre avantage peut résider dans le fait qu'un signal peut être conçu pour une adresse particulière, facilitant ainsi l'installation du service de fibre optique chez un client.
